Beijing Fashion Week sparkled amid a riot of colors and striking collections

Major international brands have used China’s runways to unveil their latest creations and boost their bottom line.
But in a country were fashion tastes have evolved in the past decade, more homegrown designers and quirky Asian creations are making an impact.
Earlier this month during Beijing Fashion Week, Chinese designer Chen Wen launched his latest collection with a dramatic use of deep blues.
“I use popular elements, combined with fabric characteristics, in Eastern culture and ideology … Chinese ink … a cultural collision,” Chen said recently.
